I believe entrepreneurs are of a different breed – let me explain. Whether you are an author, online entrepreneur, speaker, CEO, tech expert, or innovator – you dream big, play big, and are committed to pushing the human race forward. That’s why it is so important that you continue to train yourself to be the warrior that you are intended to be. BUT – all the strategies, blueprints, and formulas will not make a difference if your mindset isn’t in the right place. Giving up isn’t an option when you are an entrepreneur. I’m here to share what it truly takes to have an entrepreneurial mindset. So here goes.
Beginner’s Mind
It doesn’t matter how long you have been in business. Everyday is an opportunity to learn from your mistakes and to take on a perspective that you are starting anew. Whether you have just started your business, or have been in business for a few years, think of it as if you were producing a movie. What do you want your movie to be about? What’s the feeling that you want people to have when they finish watching your movie? How will your movie transform the lives of others?
Curiosity
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it certainly will bring alive the entrepreneur. Curiosity will allow you to challenge everything that is ordinary so that you can pursue an innovative and creative idea. It injects you with the fuel and determination to know more, find out, figure out, and learn how to turn your vision into your reality. Never stop asking questions. Impossible isn’t in your vocabulary. Always be looking for more.
Respect Your Genius Lane
Find out what you’re awesome at. Outsource the rest. I wish I had learned this earlier on in my business. I had a budget that I had to stick to but looking back on it, I could have easily allotted some of my budget to outsource many of the things that clearly were not in my genius lane. It’s critical for you to get crystal clear on what makes you feel good, what you’re really good at it, and work on making your strengths even stronger.
Be Willing To Fail
You will not succeed at everything that you do. In fact, all the mistakes you are going to make will lead to your success. You have to be willing to fail, to fall on your face, to not hit your numbers, and to not close the deal – a number of times before you start to learn what worked and what didn’t work.
Act As If
Make the decision of what you wish to be, before you actually become it. Call it Law of Attraction, manifesting, The Secret. Whatever. Here’s the deal, who you choose to be today will determine your future. Act as if you have already achieved your goals. Act as if you are already the person that you are aspiring to become. Most entrepreneurs are interested in success, wealth, and the impact of their mission on the planet. However, most never actually commit fully to it . And this why, they never produce the results that they want in their business.
